History

For nearly 80 years, the Anderson family has owned and operated Clearbrook Farm in the center of the Horse Capital of the World. We've produced and managed numerous horses with great success at the racetrack and in the sales ring.

Family Owned & Operated
Since 1938.

In 1938, the Anderson family founded what is today known as Clearbrook Farm, conveniently located in Bourbon County, the heart of horse country. Through three generations, we've accomplished many achievements for our family and our clients, both in the sales ring and on the racetrack. We're proud to have been home to five Sovereign Award winners, an honor given by the Jockey Club of Canada since 1975. These notable racehorses include Canadian horse-of-the-year All Jazz, Deputy Jane West, Straight of Dover and Sky Conqueror. Sky Conqueror was out of Heavenly Ballerina, winning the Gr-II King Edward in the Breeders' Cup and the Gr-I Woodford Reserve Turf Classic Stakes at Churchill Downs on Derby Day. Additionally, we bred Bahrain Star who produced Straight of Dover, an eventual winner of the Queen's Plate. Also bred at Clearbrook was Native Rights who went on to produce numerous outstanding mares including Prized Stamp, Queen Stamp and Classic Stamp.

Some of our client's horses have run second in the Gr-I Kentucky Derby as well as second to champion American Pharoah during his racing career.
